I’ve had my Ferris 600 (48 Inch Briggs) for a few months now. I’m very impressed with the overall build quality.
It’s obviously built to a commercial standard. I’m not a commercial user, I just wanted something solidly built that will last.
For 25% more cost than a residential grade competitor, you get a mower built 3 times better.
The suspension makes a noticeable difference in the ride and the ICD cut quality is awesome. Highly recommended in all aspects.

I am constrained to a 48″ deck to get around gardens and other obstacles close to my house; however, I wanted to be able to quickly cut the 2+ acres in a lower field which includes “sink holes” from trees stumps cleared 20 years ago.
I evaluated all zero-turns sold within 25 miles, then I bought the IS600Z after my local Ferris dealer convinced me that this ZTR a) offers the best value for a commercial quality mower, b) is capable of mowing at 10 mph, and c) has a suspension that allows you to survive mowing a 10 mph.
While I have only had the mower for several weeks, the mower is exceeding my expectations.
I am truly impressed at how good the yard looks when mowed at high speed.

Just took delivery of my new IS600Z today. Wow, what a mower.
25 horse Briggs with the 48″ ICD deck. Mows beautifully. Plenty of power. The ZT3400 trannies are very powerful.
I wish it had the folding ROPS like its big brother, but for a couple hundred bucks I’ll add that later.
I demo’d most other popular brands, but nothing came close to the power and ride of the Ferris. Mowing is now fun, and enjoyable.
