Reviews

I have scoliosis in my lower back and it can sometimes be painful to ride the mower around on my bumpy lawn.
I’ve been researching zero-turns for a while and reading every review I can find. I’ve been eyeballing the 400S at a local dealership lately and this morning I stopped to ask some questions regarding suspension and comfort.
The owner hopped on his 400S demo model and said “follow me”. He drove it around to the back of his shop, showed me how to use it and said “feel free to mow for a while”. He has a nice sized yard so I took him up on it. I mowed for about 20 minutes and intentionally hit every hole and bump in the yard. I loved it! Obviously I felt some minor discomfort as I have a bad back but nothing at all like I expected.
This thing also cut as fast as I could drive it which makes a huge difference when you’re cutting almost two-acres. I was impressed with the entire experience.
I even took out one of the comparable Toro models with the “My Ride” feature. It wasn’t a demo model so I couldn’t mow with it but he let me drive it all over the yard for the same amount of time. That thing was like riding in a hay wagon by comparison.
I came home to think about it as it is a financial investment that requires some thought. After only four hours I had already made my decision. I went right back to his shop this afternoon and purchased the 400S.

I definitely recommend this model!

Did a lot of research before purchasing a Z-turn – was looking in the homeowner class, so had not considered a Ferris.
When the 400S came along, it was a far superior choice, yet competitively priced.

Bought in May – could not be happier with my choice so far. Mowing is fun, fast and looks great.

Bonus is I am not beat when finished – very comfortable and ergonomic.

Bought the 400S 2 months ago.
Test drove a hustler, john deere, husqvarna and a toro. None of them are as comfortable or ride as good as the Ferris. It mows excellent.
My yard has never looked this good.

Right now I am the envy of the neighbourhood.
